Distinguished Service Award
The purpose of this award is to honor those HLRSC members that have, by the quality of their dedication, service and breeding practices, made a noticeable impact on the breed and the club. The HLRSC wishes to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the breed and the HLRSC at a local, state, and/or regional level.
Criteria
The following list of criteria is to be used as a guide for the issuance of this award. Nominees do not need to meet all the guidelines specified to qualify.
● Nominees should be HLRSC Members in good standing for a significant period.
● Assisted in organizing or leading a specialty club, state club, regional club, 4-H club or fair to promote the Holland Lop.
● Contributed to the betterment of the breed through educational means, such as, organizing or speaking at a judge’s conference, organizing or speaking at regional or state level educational seminars, through writing contributions for publications like The Hollander, HLRSC Official Guidebook, HLRSC.org, HLRSC Facebook Page and/or platforms on the regional, state or specialty club level.
● Has served actively as a judge and/or registrar in a positive manner to promote the club.
● Be active in the advocation of successful breeding and exhibition of Holland Lops.
● Participates in the mentorship and assistance of youth and other members in their quest to raise and show quality Holland Lops.
● Encourages other HLRSC members to find ways to become involved in their club on a regional, state or national level.
● Breeds to produce Hollands following the ARBA Standard of Perfection and commonly shares stock to improve the quality of other breeder’s herds.
● Has donated unselfishly of time, effort, or finances to benefit the Holland Lop and our club which may include time served on HLRSC commitees or holding an office.
● Nominees may have performed other outstanding services that aren’t listed above.
● Nominations for the Distinguished Service Award should revolve around what a member(s) has done for the HLRSC and the advocation of the club and our breed.
● A couple or partnership may be considered if the above criteria is met by both individuals.
